Good Food Workshops
Presented in partnership with St Lukes
Work Shop One
Join renowned chef Yyan Ng for a hands‑on cooking workshop that shows participants how to transform simple, everyday ingredients into healthy family favourites.
Drawing on Hakka, Cantonese and Hokkien food traditions, the session highlights home‑style Southern Chinese techniques that are fast, nourishing, and deeply rooted in culture.
Participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the stories, techniques and values embedded in Southern Chinese cuisines.
Workshop Two
A practical session designed to help adopt cleaner, healthier kitchen habits. You will explore how to reduce toxin exposure by minimising plastics, choosing safer tools, and making more informed everyday food decisions.
The workshop covers essential kitchen foundations including knife care, chopping boards, pans and seasoning, plus guidance on choosing the safest sanitising and dishwashing products. You’ll also learn practical storage and preservation methods that support a plastic free low waste pantry. Achievable changes that reset how you cook at home.
