Dr Naomi Vinden
Research Fellow in Food Processing and Engineering
Naomi completed her PhD in Food Science and Technology at the University of Queensland in 2022. Her PhD investigated improving the stability of probiotics during thermal processing with the intent towards increasing the probiotic product range. She is further pursuing her interest in food technology and engineering as a Research Fellow in Food Processing and Engineering at TIA, UTAS, as part of the Regional Research Collaboration Program with Prof. Roger Stanley. Her research focuses on optimising the quality and safety of shelf-stable foods, primarily using Microwave Assisted Thermal Sterilisation (MATS) and other processing technology in collaboration with Defence Science and Technology Group.
