Belinda Woollett

Belinda spent more than 25 years in hospitality, working as a chef across Australia and internationally before moving into culinary training. Her OzHarvest journey started as a volunteer in the NEST program, where she became Sydney Coordinator before being invited to develop the Nourish Program Nourish | OzHarvest Certificate II in Cookery , which she has now led nationally for more than 13 years.Hospitality taught her teamwork, leadership, grace under pressure and pride in her work, while NEST deepened her belief in meeting people where they are and leading with listening and empathy. Those values shape how she leads today: clear, open communication, a team that feels safe and genuinely supported, and real care for the wellbeing of staff who hold so much of young people’s stories. What Belinda is proudest of is that, through all that growth, Nourish has stayed true to its core values. It shows in students’ outcomes and in the connections graduates keep with the team long after they finish. The moments that stay with her are often the quiet ones: a student who simply got on with the work, then calls months after graduating to share where they’re working and say thank you. “That’s when you know it works. That is why Nourish is so powerful.”
