Rob McCreath
Cattle farmer and climate advocate with a diverse background in dairy, cropping, and community activism
Rob is a cattle farmer based in Deloraine, where he and his family run an operation producing premium grass-fed beef. Originally from Queensland, Rob spent years farming through the extremes of drought and flood, growing crops such as chickpeas, wheat, mungbeans, and sorghum. Before that, his roots were in dairy farming in Scotland.
Rob holds a degree in agriculture from Reading University and brings broad agricultural experience to his work on the land. He was a key leader in a Queensland community campaign that successfully stopped a proposed coal mine—an experience he chronicled in a book which some people said nice things about.
Passionate about the future of farming and the planet, Rob is an active member of Farmers for Climate Action, advocating for practical, farmer-led solutions to climate change.
